I've been having this problem that looks like a shiny/oily residue after my screens are exposed that I can't push the ink through, I've used degreaser and a few other things, anyone have any good solutions or know what it is???
That's emulsion residue (scumming) that ran down into the openings after washout and dried. You need to wash longer, and possibly expose a bit longer. You can rewash the screens, it should come out.
Degreaser goes on as the last step after reclaiming ( stencil remover, pressurewash, haze remover, pressurewash, then degrease)
After degrease, a clean well prepped screen allows water to sheet off, it doesn't form beads.
degreasing won't take off the clear scum left after exposing and washout of the image, just more water. You might try blotting gently with a sheet of newsprint to soak up excess water so it cant' run down in the openings.
...didn't this get covered a few posts back....????
