theres' a plan for one in the how to print shirts for fun and profit book. Good plan too, i used the one for a 4 color t shirt press when i was just starting out.

try this (originally e-mailed to me from another gigposters member)

put your shirt down with board in it.
tape a piece of acetate to the edge of the base of your set-up (only tape 1 side)
    fold acetate over shirt
    print first onto acetate
    blow dry acetate dry

now you can move the shirt around underneath the acetate to get it in register, fold the acetate back, and hit the shirt.

id been using that acetate method for a while now.. not too happy with the results. i've now bought all the crapola from home depot i need to build a very home made conconction of a tshirt press. i may be thinking a little to big, rather than just a board with some clamps, but if this works at all, ill post pics and stuff.

i guess i could post pics if it doesn't work too, and yall can laugh at me.

I built this one originally it works pretty well, the registration was always tricky though, you just have to plough through a lot of trial and error with it... go to these links... its from the screenprinting for fun and profit book

I remember my first week working here. Back then it was the owner, our screen/printing guy, and me. I helped with production that week. Had to print 500 navy, canvas totebags; 4 color process with 2 whites, flash between each color. It was on a 6 color, manual Hix press. The bags were 1" too small to fit on an adult pallet...and we only had ONE youth pallet.

    Load.
    Print underlay.
    Flash
    Wait
    Wait
    Wait
    Second hit underlay
    Flash
    Wait
    Wait
    Wait
    Yellow
    Flash
    Wait
    Wait
    Wait...etc.
