    Default My new emulsion

I got in a bit of a pinch for some emulsion, and the only thing my regular supplier had for me was Chromaline UDC-2 Dual Cure. Anyone ever used this stuff, know if it'll hold up well to water based inks and appx. 50 lpi halftones?

I've heard a lot of good things about chromaline. I don't use it but i can tell you if it's a dual cure it will have no problem with water based inks. It should also be fine holding a 50 l.p.i halftone.

Chromaline's dual cure UDC -HV is not suited to waterbased. The UDC-2 is though.

Not being a know it all. I just looked on their site and that is what it said. Proceed.

UDC-2 has a wide exposure window too.

(I used it for years for printing tees, I'm just getting into the poster printing, I hope it works for that too.)

I just got off the phone with Chromaline's technical help. They state that the shelf life of a gallon of UDC-2 is 3-4 weeks at room temp, 6-8 weeks refrigerated!!!

I would like to hear from anyone who uses this what their experience has been with this stuff. Does it really go bad that quickly?

I've used it for textile printing and i can't promise you, but I think it stayed good for at least 3-4 months (refrigerated).
