Default adding "other" liquids to ink??

Probably a stupid question but i want to add whiskey to ink so the posters will smell like a brewery - will alcohol react or not mix with standard water based inks?
Im also assuming i need to add quite a bit to override the ink smell. My oonly other option would be to fill up a spray bottle and spray the paper first, but the run will probably be 1000 so i'm not to thrilled by that idea.

Anyone got any advice, suggestions, mockery?

im sure you can get a synthetic perfume that smells strongly like booze and do it that way. wont work in ink.

    oooh.

i think spritzing the paper is a good idea. better than mixing with the ink.

the smell wont stay. and you will have to buy alot to spritz on each sheet.

therefore. invalid idea. get a perfume.

Just bring the entire run with you to Flatstock. Hang out at all of the parties, and place each one beneath a passed-out gig poster artist. They're sure to exude enough to bring about the effect you're looking for. 1000? You'll be done in the first night.

could work, if the whisky is strong smelling, and you don't SOAK them in it, just a few shots per page.

    maybe not.

at my old job, a designer did a "red hot" valentines invite, and the printer spritzed each invite with cinnamon, and it worked.

go spray a piece of paper. then try to smell it 4 days from now. MAYBE you can if you smell really really closely. but it wont work.
