Default Printing on guitar cabinet grill cloth..

Has anyone ever done this? I've got a friend that makes speaker cabinets and amps and wants to print his logo on the grill cloth. It's going to be a few different kinds of grill cloth so I'm probably going to have to do a bunch of tests, but if anyone has tried this before and has any tips/warnings let me know! I'm thinking on thinner/stretchier grill cloth I could just use basic plastisol or waterbased ink....I could actually probably just use some TW-5000...its not like it needs to be washfast or anything, just has to not flake off. But on the more open/coarser weave older style grill cloth like on older Ampeg SVT's I'm not really sure what to use....I think that fabric is probably mostly nylon and it's got a good bit of texture to it. Hmm....

Grill cloth is so porous/loosely woven that I doubt it would be a good substrate for Screenprint.
Spray stencil of some sort would probably work better.
