    Default large scale epson printers

Im looking to upgrade from my 1430 to a roll film printer, mainly to avoid tiling. Ive been told that the 4880 was the way to go, but alas, they are no longer made. its been replaced by the 4900, which I hear is a nightmare.
the question is: from your vast experiences, is it better to gamble on a used 4880, and what are the pitfalls to that, or do I gamble on the 4900?

You don't ever need to print wider than 17"? I found a used 7800 on craigslist for super-cheap last year and the ability to print 24" wide and not have to tile has been the best upgrade to my workflow that I can imagine. Here's a pretty good deal on a 7880 (step-up model) in NYC:

Id LOVE to, but how big is that thing? I have to empty out an old closet to fit the 4900. I just physically have the space for such a giant thing.

Oh, gotcha. It's pretty big. Mine's almost 4' wide I think.
