Problem: One layer turned out "chalky" - how to print over top? Help please!
Im new to the site and I'm basically here because I've run into a strange problem that I've never encountered before...
Im doing an 11 layer screen print and on my fourth layer I noticed the brown wasn't adhering to the layer below it. For some reason, the layer below dried in a very dusty/chalky way. I don't know why this happened, but now Im having a very hard time applying any layers overtop because the layers just soak up the chalkiness of the last layer I did.
Any solutions? I was thinking about running a transparent base overtop of it to sort of "seal" it and see if that works?
Im using a wall paper paste as my base, which has never given me a single problem (and its cheaper than Speedball)... I think the problem may have been in the white pigment I was using.
