    Default DIY Drying Cabinet Questions

Can I get away with just a big box with a mini dehumidifier or do I need vents and a fan as well? If I do need a fan, what's a good way to block out the light that gets through the blades? My workshop is very bright.

I use a double black drape (for the door) and a heater. Drape lets the moisture out, keeps the light out. Be carefull it doesn't overheat.

    Small humidifier works too.

Fan inside is OK but doesn't extract moisture, this is problematic if the air is really humid.

Fan can be a problem as moving air can cause airborne dust & lint to settle on your screens as they dry...especially if you're in a dirty old building like I am.
My drying cabinet has a port that I back the dehumidifier up to. Works great.
