    Default Printer for Transparencies

I'm almost all setup but found out my printer (Epson Artisan 730) won't print on transparent paper.

Does anyone have any suggestions (any brand, like Epson though) of printers that can print on transparencies? I have 8.5x11 sheets already so I'd prefer to print that but wouldn't mind getting a larger format since I'll be printing up to
    18 x 24.

    Thanks.

I bought an Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer from Henry's photography store on sale and while Epson was offering a $50 mail-in rebate. After the savings I think it worked out to $220. Anyway, it prints up to 13" x 19". I just use the same setting I used on my old Epson printer which was "Photo paper glossy" and I get dark black transparencies that burn well.
Is the nightmare black or are the windows painted?

Yes, as long as the transparency film is for an inkjet printer.

Perfect. Thanks kurmis! Looks like I'll be getting an Epson 1430.

If your 730 has any Premium Photo Paper settings it should work too.

Ink jets will spit ink onto anything as long as it's not too thick to fit through the paper feed. It's just a straight feed so it has no sensors that need to see an opaque medium. You need a medium specifically coated for ink jets though.
