Default AMERICAN Tempo 22x30 Screen Printing Press

Anyone have input if this is a good machine for around $2000 with drying rack? I'm thinking about picking it up to mess around with. I come from a textile printing background but no flatstock experience.

This is a great machine, we use a slightly larger Tempo and payed way more. Make sure there are no dents on the press bed!

I use a Tempo and it works great. Paid more for mine but it has a larger bed. The drawback to a Tempo is that you need a compressor and replacement parts are hard to come by. Even the manufacturer sold me weird, re-tooled versions of things that broke on mine.

Parts for older presses can be an issue. The compressor isn't really an issue because any semi-auto is going to need one.
The nice thing about these older models is that they are very simply built and you can almost get by with only a Grainger catalog to keep them going.

like you said Grainger has lots of parts for these, but as much as I hate AWT, they are pretty good about having spare parts for the older Cameos and Tempos.

I was just talking to our service guy, we might have a used Daytona or Tempo (not sure) 22x30 press and a 30x40 available in California. If you are interested, email me, I'm trying to get some pictures.

Here's a great resource when looking for a press. Found my Cameo 38 in southern Oregon for $1500 and cost $500 to freight it up here to Seattle. No compressor needed.
