Just got mine. A great achievement Didier.
The organization and analysis set it apart from other efforts.
I hope Rock Poster Art is translated and finds a US or UK publisher, because it is definitive.

Thanks again to all....and to you Dan !!! Nice words....
For the transation: it would be a great day for the little french guy...
I hope...one day.... even we know, here in Europe, how difficult it is for us to exist in the Usa...

Dan sums up the book nicely. It's a big deal. I'm honored to have some work in it. Nice work Didier!

We were blown away by the quality of this book. The reproductions of the prints are fabulous and as Dan mentioned the organization is great. Just wish we could read it. I'm intrigued to see what is being said.

To answer to Connie in a few words....

    - the way we can see and explain what are exactly the "things" as "posters" and what we can undestand beyond the"merchandising/advertising object"....
    - The history of the rock poster movement until the contemporary scene (including Kozik and the silkscreen time)...
    - the different ways for an artist to think/create a rock poster (several chapters)
    - the artists that impose a different style or a different way...
    - The silkscreen diversity of the materials and texture..

    All that said very quickly....

Got my copy through the other week. From the limited amount I can follow, it is incredible. Judging by the images, and the little I can grasp with my limited language skills, nothing has come close, in terms of modern history of the art form. Bravo!

It's in Paris, one of the largest library of the city...the Eyrolles library (which is also a big publisher) !!
