Default "New Brow" of Portland @ PCPA

50 artists to be showcased in 3rd annual New Brow of Portland exhibit at PCPA; opens November 1
New Brow of Portland will open its two month exhibit at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA) - 1111 SW Broadway - at a First Thursday reception from 5-8 p.m. on November 1, 2012.

Presented by the Peoples Art of Portland Gallery, the New Brow of Portland exhibit includes the non-traditional work of 50 local artists whose crafts exist outside of traditional fine art categories and represent self-taught, not classically-trained, art. A variety of genres are included, including comic realms, poster art, tattooing, paintings and fine art, and produced by artists spanning a wide range of ages, experiences, backgrounds and influences.
The New Brow of Portland exhibit and First Thursday reception is part of an ongoing effort by PCPA to support local artists throughout the region by offering space in the ground floor lobby of Antoinette Hatfield Hall, in the Art Bar and Bistro. Antoinette Hatfield Hall is located at 1111 SW Broadway (at SW Main) in downtown Portland.
