Default Looking for an Artist to create a band identity

    Hi
we are a 5 piece rock band called as night dies www.asnightdies.com and we are looking for someone to design a logo/artwork that we could use across our webpage, merch and recordings. We are heading into the studio next month so we'd ideally want to have something ready by Christmas that could be printed up.

We don't want something too 'involved' just something that will look sick when its printed on a T-shirt.

We'd be stoked if you would get in touch. Our budget is minimal so ideally we'd be looking for someone who would work for seeds and beer but all prices are negotiable so get in touch.

    uh oh.

and i am assuming all those tshirts and merch will be given away for free to your fans? or perhaps in exchange for a beer or some pocket lint?
sorry - figured i would start the replies with something soft so that the others dont seem as harsh when the flood gates open.

Are you sure you can't throw some stems in with the seeds? You'll get much better artwork.

My first thought on your band identity is to change the name of your band.

Honestly dudes... The guy came on and said he had a low budget and is asking if anyone is down for the work. He didn't say "great exposure" or "great for your portfolio".
Seems a little overly aggressive to treat these people like assholes especially when they say upfront that they have a limited budget but a budget no less.

Agree with Steve... even though we probably hear "I cant pay you much or at all" far too often, cant take it out on a dude being straight forward upfront.

asnightdies... may I suggest a licensing sort of agreement? --would come off a lot better and get you more interest. You know, pay for something in a super small run but you have to come back to the artist and re-negotiate for something with more exposure. The "identity" think is a bit complex, especially shoe string budget. Im open to working with you but I dont eat any seeds(or stems for that matter) but I do drink plenty of beer.

I also agree with Steve. I simply relish the moments in life when I can make fun of someone's band name because it is overly serious and silly.
