    Question Why is my screen doing this? (pic)




    I use speed ball emulsion, 110 mesh, 150 watt bulb, 18 inches from 16x20 screen

    What am I doing wrong?

    Did you use the whole bottle of Diazo? Typically that speedball is pretty green when I mix it. I'd also go with Tuffy on this and say to expose for longer and check to make sure your positives are solid black.

    Other things to consider, don't rinse the stencil out with hot/warm water. Don't rub the area with too much force. Make sure the screen was degreased properly.

    But yeah, first thought was underexposure. Start there.

    Most graphic designers would kill for a distressed filter effect that organic... just roll with it!

    How long did you let your emulsion dry for?

    Speed ball emulsion tend to do this I switch to 902 which is good and cheap you can call them at 718-441-4320.
