Default Needed - Reasonable small run screen printer

Long story short - i have two prints i am working on for art shows at the beginning of June and i need a reasonable printer for each piece. 3-4 colors with a run of 30-40 prints each. These are high profile shows and would be good exposure for a small shop.

PM me if you can do the job.

This doesn't work for the shop at all unless you let them print their name on the posters as well.

Ha, even then, who gives a shit about the printer. A lot of galleries I know don't want anyone coming to a show to know the art by their artists was not printed by the artist. It confuses the masses and fucks with the 'silkscreen artist' label or the 'serigraphy' definitions in the fine art printmaking world.

But a print job is a print job. I'm sure you will find someone nearby, and everything will be great.

Why a small shop? Are you trying to get them for free or next to it? Steve has done small runs for me before and did a great job. Not a small shop though and I definitely wouldn't try to reason with him. Dudes crazy.

I am very clear that i don't print my own stuff and always give the proper credit to all the fine printers i work with.

We've never had a problem with the artists, but some gallery owners....we were barred from one opening, until the artist overruled the owner who told the guards to keep us out.

not a problem with the GP crowd, this was an A list gallery in Vancouver. A few others did the same thing. Just sayin.

Probably was just the way you were dressed and the glint in your eye that said "Where's the free booze?"

While I don't always get direct credit for the printing I do in general galleries have good to us at openings sometimes even above and beyond.

Maybe it's just some asshats in Vancouver. Colonialism is alive and well in some of the native art galleries. Or they had prior experience with screenprinters.
