Man, that's awful. Beastie Boys were one of those groups that were just always around while I was growing up. RIP MCA.

I posted this on facebook and I thought I'd share here:

In the early 2000's I was walking down Valencia St. when two guys carrying bags of records from Amoeba, Aquarius and more stopped me and asked where they could get a burger. I told them I was on my way to Zeitgeist and they could join me. Over the next hour or so we talked about movies and music and my new friend realized that I must know who he was. When I excused myself to leave, he thanked me for the meal and conversation and for treating him like a regular guy. RIP Adam Yauch - that was indeed a good lunch.

One of the most instrumental groups in my life. You'll be missed brother. Was fun seeing you around town, catch you later.
