    Default anyone ever done black velvet flocking?

    has anyone done it? i'm not too clear on the process, i heard there was an electric charge used during the process. my interest is sparked.

    I've done it. Yes it can be a mess. We do it outside for this reason.
    There is the charged flock version (which is the best way but gear is pricey) or there is the air gun way.
    They sell various types of flock guns that just use air. Some look like old fashion bug sprayers. Others are just two nesting tubes with holes in one end (you can easily make one of these)

    if you do it wear a respirator so you don't inhale tons of flocking shit...not good for your lungs

    If you have a vinyl cutter and a heat press the Sisser Stripflock is great. We have used it on 130lb Strathmore wove cover
    very dramatic, good color pallet.

    You don't even need a heat press they have sticker back flocked vinyl for cutters as well.
