Default Exhibit your work in huge london record store

    Hi.

I work for HMV Piccadilly Circus
    In London.

It's the biggest record store chain in the UK
we have a cool music floor and were trying to fill the walls with cool music posters.
I was wondering does anyone here want to exhibit their posters.

This is just my idea as a store clerk. Sadly I can’t afford to pay you for the print.
    BUT
They will be framed with your name/info bellow them.
Your work will be displayed in the centre of London in the second busiest record shop in Europe with thousands of people passing through.

We want anything by the following bands:
    Broken Social Scene
    Warpaint
    Modest Mouse
    The National
    Bon Iver
    Explosions In The Sky
    LCD Soundsystem
    The Black Keys
    Sonic Youth
    Dinosaur Jr
    Animal Collective
    Tyler The Creator/Odd Future

Anyone interested send me a message
    Thanks

Why doesn't the store just pay for them ? Sounds like another scam to get free prints

You'd think "the biggest record store chain in the UK" could fork out some dosh...

    ho hum

if this is legit it is also totally sad... i mean they're the last place to hand out CD's to people "who can't afford" to pay for em, but the first to ask for this kind of generosity from others....

    roar!

Truth! I like the idea but the fans who give a damn about prints, artistic integrity and supporting individuals probably shop at indie's like Banquet, All Ages or the Bunker. HMV is a high street store, the Tescos of music. Sorry, but I don't think you'll have much luck here.

Also, if you're in touch with those nearer the top - please please PLEASE tell them to sort the online vinyl section out. The rare times I have tried to order records from you have been terrible. Most of the time I was told they were out of stock weeks after ordering or, if anything came through, the sleeves were horribly dented to scuffed. Not cool.

Also, any proof you are actually from the HMV group? I thought you were going bust soon anyway?

I think they also missed this forum section's title. Art for Hire.
