    Default Homage or Rip?

Before I go any further with this I would like to get your opinion on this quick mock up. Death Proof "homage" poster... instead of the skull/double lightning bolts on the hood of the car, I put the bands logo, and instead of the girls, I put the city's skyline. This is for a small local band and will be for web use and to maybe hang some up at the club and a few around town only. This will not be for sale. Thanks.

what do you really expect to hear? You took an existing poster, slapped a logo on it and are going to write a band's name on it... it's shit, it's unoriginal, lazy and is something any middle aged secretary with Photoshop and 10 minutes could do...

of course it's a rip, not a "homage"

your screen name is regularjohndesign... design something

Not very professional or original, but it probably does the job. Don't expect any true rewards out of this. Keep on rippin.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your opinions, I'm gonna scrap the "idea". I'm learning and most of the time I'm a complete idiot. What's the opinion on this poster though (which I love by the way)?

I unno. It's not illustriously captivating enough for me. I just ran into these that included some Olly Ouija boards. Quick laughs n fun *shrug* sometimes seeing this stuff feels like it's all about jerkin off the right people when it comes to pop art stuffs to me.
