Thread: 8000W lights

  1. #1

    Default 8000W lights

So I've acquired 3 GE PXA 80 lights...I have no idea if anyone uses these but they output 8000W and 1600 Volts. They go for like $170 online. Below are two images one of the bulb and one of the warning that came with it...crazy shit.

It's got so much UV output that YOUR SCREENS ARE BURNED BEFORE YOU EVEN TURN IT ON.

The brightest lamp does not necessarily burn the best screen.

So this begs the question, you got the bulb, have you got the fixture? 8kw will require a good circuit.

Wear cotton gloves before you install it, and for fuck sakes make sure the fixture is unplugged.

    What are these from?

Installing these types of bulbs will make you hungry. A good bulb installation power food is potato chips, the greasier the better.
