    Default Dotted Shading

I'm a total PS-newbie; so i guess this question could have a very obvious solution.

How can I create pushead-/baizley-like shadings using photoshop?
(like for example on the cover of pushead's sparrow issue)

you can make a photoshop brush that will do something similar, but to get the rich texture like pushead or baizley, there is no way but by hand. it's time consuming and it's not easy.

Something similar was discussed recently involving diffusion dithering but this looks like it's totally by hand. I'm not great with ps and always end up spending more time trying to mimic hand finishing than it takes to actually do it by hand, which I almost always end up doing in the end.

    Thanks for the tipps.
Just gave it a try with self-made brushes. It's an adequate solution for my problem. Looks not really great but saves a shitload of time.

The best art is always quick art.
