I had to download a file for work from a Yousendit website and the file is a "RAR file".
Do any of you know what type of file this is/what program?
WinRAR (32-bit) - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com
It's a common kind of compressed file. Stuffit Pro or even just the regular Mac Archiver should be able to unpack it otherwise do a quick search for the unpacking tool.

Reason: Yeah, what Brad said too
Crap,..Now I have to get together with the IT guy to see if I can get the free download. He has to do it. It's just kind of a hassle. He's always busy and I just want to open the file and get to work. O well It could be worse,..it could be raining
i wish it was raining here.
on a mac UnrarX handles RARs easily..
you just drag and drop the first rar file of the sequence (usually rar0) onto the UnrarX icon on the dock..
it will then uncompress them and assemble the dmg
