Default Vacuum Table spec errors (?)- Screen Printing Today

This question goes out to Andy (or anyone else who can assist):

So, I'm gathering the materials to build the Vacuum Table featured in the book Screen Printing Today.
For the perimeter it says to cut 2 spacers that are 24" x 3" and another 2 that are 16 1/4" x 3".
When laying them out, the 24" sides line up fine, but the 16 1/4" spacers leave a gap on each side. Is that right?

I know one side should have a gap for the vacuum nozzle.
To add to my confusion, in Step 3, it refers to the 16 1/4" spacers as 16 1/2".
Are these errors or am I not reading these instructions correctly?

hey...go here and look, we have been modifying the construction a bit since 2003.

And yeah the one side is closed the opening is for the vac schnozzle, it can be placed on either side near the back.

If you kick around the albums on the Squeegeeville FB page, you will see a couple more photosets of the tables, we are also using black knobs to lock the backbar, and have started making a second opening on the front for a simple vacuum break valve

---I need to have a look at the plans, that was a while ago, have never redrawn

Thanks for the quick response and the reference pictures.
    Definitely adding the black knobs!

So, instead of the (2) - 16 1/4" sides, I'll make (2) - 18" sides and cut one side down to accommodate the nozzle.
    Thanks again for your assistance!
