Default French sno-cone #140 cover Vs. Cougar #100 cover

    Hello all,
I'm working on a project and only have so much budget left. I was going to use the French Paper sno-cone (light blue in color) for the sky and white ink for the clouds (it about the same amount of both colors on the print, but a little more white), but i've heard good things about the Cougar #100 cover stock and it's much cheaper and I can have the paper cut cheaply and mailed ready to go. The one I'm looking at is the Cougar Opaque White Smooth Cover stock. Would you say there is any noticeable difference in quality?
    thanks for your help

Also, is the difference in #100 French and #140 very noticeable? Will the #100 roll alright and not be damaged easily while being shipped?

Cougar is much smoother, and much more dimensionally stable.
French has great colors but grows and shrinks like a motherfucker from changes in humidity and temperature.

Unless you just have to have the color and accurate registration doesn't matter to your design, the cheaper option is also the better one.

White paper is generally more archivable.
