I just got back from the Queens of the Stone Age show here in SF. I went without a ticket, the 2nd person I asked had an extra ticket for base price...I got in and the show kicked major ass...Dave Grohl on drums, and Mark Lannigan as their secret weapon...just a killer show.
    Lucky me!

WHAT? Since when does Dave Grohl drum for them? Am I missing something? What about the Foo Fighters? Huh? Please fill me in!

What I have heard is this...he is still in the foo fighters...it is just that the drummer from the foo fighters is dealing with his drug problem...so while they were waiting for him to deal, Dave played with the Queens...he is a member of that band...on the new album coming out...but in between this short tour he has been going back and recording the foo fighters album...so he is in 2 bands now....and he was out of control...great to see him play drums...and also Mark Lannigan from the Screaming Trees is a new member on the album singing like 5 songs or so...I was also told that the other guitarist tonight is the one from A Perfect Circle...Maynerd from Tools side project...so it was a star studded event...
    they rock so hard...

Thanks Gregg! I like what I've heard by them so far .. I just had no idea that they had a superstar line-up. I'm gonna have to check them out more. Grohl is amazing all around. A true musician, and as far as I know, a super nice guy.

Dave Grohl has a new project coming out called ProBot. It's an all metal record featuring an allstart cast of guest vocalists. Lemmy, Kronos, Tom G. Warrior, Bruce Dickinsen....it's going to be excellent.

I just sealed a deal with QOTSA for official merchandising / posters. I got some sweet ideas already polluting my brain! I'll be getting the band to sign a bunch of the posters I do for them. I really dig the band so this is one of those deals where I get twice as inspired to work! Whoop Whoop!
