i saw them back in the 70's and they were truly other-worldly back then.
can't imagine seeing them now. does not compute, will robinson.

All this talk of DEVO got me on a kick, and knowing I couldn't go to any of the shows had me searching eBay last night for one particular old video. Found one auction with 25 minutes to go, and had to get it. Probably overpaid, but oh well, I've always wanted to see it. Anyone seen this old video?

Yeah, I've got it. There are some excellent performances on that. "Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA" is great, as always, and Booji Boy sings "Red Eye." Most of the material on that tape that has never been released on DVD. You won't be disappointed.
DEVO's new site launched today, by the way. It's pretty light on content, but they'll be ramping it up.

Awesome! I had heard it was full of otherwise unreleased footage, and I know their live shows from back then are pretty cool, so I figured it was worth $13.

Yes and it was awesome. Did posters for their dc stop. They are in top form and I have seen nothing but positive reviews.
