November 3 & 4: Hollywood, CA - The Music Box
November 6 & 7: San Francisco, CA - The Regency Ballroom November 8 & 9: Seattle, WA - The Moore Theatre November 12 & 13: Chicago, IL - Vic Theatre November 15 & 16: Washington, DC - 9:30 Club November 20 & 21: New York, NY - The Fillmore November 23 & 24: Toronto, ON - The Phoenix Concert Theatre They just issued a press release that lists only seven cities for the tour. Originally, they said it would be nine but I guess it's been scaled back. People who buy tickets online for any of the shows will also receive free downloads of unreleased demos of "Whip It," "Turn Around," and "Red Shark." From the press release: Now DEVO continue to pioneer new territory by exclusively teaming with Warner Bros. Records to internationally service all aspects of the band's career, including recorded music, touring, merchandising, web services, promotion, ecommerce, sponsorships, licensing, and endorsements. ... To mark the band's new deal, the label will reissue deluxe CD and limited-edition colored vinyl versions of DEVO's 1978's gold debut Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are DEVO! and 1980's platinum favorite Freedom of Choice, as well as a seven-inch vinyl single of "Jocko Homo/Mongoloid" on November 3rd. Between all that, the new album, and next year's world tour, it sounds like DEVO will be extremely visible in 2010. Stoked! Last edited by 9pod9; 09-16-2009 at 11:16 AM. |
