Oh weird. I just saw a name from the dead in the line-up.

Cedric Burnside and Lightnin' Malcolm. Lightnin' used to play at my bar in KS all the time, he grew up there and he puts on a good show. He's got kind of a similar story to Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, he wanted to learn to play the Blues so he went to Mississippi. He'd just go to shitty bars in the state and hang out with old dudes that new the Blues getting the knowledge. We would see him every couple of months, each time sounding more and more like an Old (and slightly retarded) Black man from Miss, and the guy was playing some great Blues.
Anyhow, he stopped coming around and his little brother never really mentioned him playing anymore, so I figured he had just stopped travelling and playing. Glad to see he is playing with some talent these days. If you get a chance, check him out. He is quite the showman for a not so bright white boy from Kansas.

Jesus Lizard and the Sword crushed it today. The new Sword tunes are amazing.

There were other things but we all got hammered.

Melt Banana blew my mind right open- how can they do that??? One of the most amazing live acts I've ever seen. Russian Circles, Jesus Lizard and the Sword were also awesome
