basil wolverton was a lay minister (pentacostal?) from vancouver, washington (near the border with oregon near portland). go figger.

Thanks, Basil Wolverton is one of my favourite artists. EC Comics and early Mad Magazine were the best and I'll be in NYC tomorrow!
