    basil wolverton was a lay minister (pentacostal?) from vancouver, washington (near the border with oregon near portland). go figger.

    Thanks, Basil Wolverton is one of my favourite artists. EC Comics and early Mad Magazine were the best and I'll be in NYC tomorrow!

    I saw a small show of his work in Portland a few years ago; mind blowing in person. I wish I could check out this one.
