these bands, what's left of them, aren't that good anymore.

I saw that Bad Brains was coming to Chicago a few years back and being a big Bad Brains fan, that was too young to catch them early on, I was really excited. I knew it wasn't going to be the Bad Brains of the 80s, but I expected a little more than what I got. Which was everyone in the band putting forth an effort except for HR who just talked through the lyrics here and there with no enthusiasm whatsoever. At times acting as though he was making fun of the whole show.

If you have no interest in performing the old songs don't play. All you're doing is disappointing people. Now though I am still a fan I have that sour taste in my mouth when I remember the one time I got to see them.

At least this time around HR's playing with Human Rights.

i stil remember the first human rights album i bought.....

brought it home, played it once, and immediately took it back to the store. hr and bad brains will never be the same as the first couple b.b. albums. too bad i was in kindergarten when they were doing that stuff.
