NEATO: Milwaukee Promoter busts Eddie Vedder scalpers

So I go up to Milwaukee for shows once in a while and am on the Pabst/Riverside/Turner Ballroom mailing list. I got an email saying that they've seized Eddie Vedder tickets from scalpers. Excerpt is below. Not necessarily trying to start a scalpers-suck thread (despite them in fact, sucking), but thought this might brighten some of y'alls day. Why can't more promoters do this?!?! It would heighten my chances to see Radiohead again some day.

* we took back over 100 tickets from scalpers who were charging up to $2000 for Eddie Vedder tickets.

* we refunded their money (except for service fees) & charged them a restocking fee.

* the restocking fee was donated to a charity defined by Eddie.

* now we wanna sell the tickets that we took back, to you, the real fans, on our eMembers list.

Now if they would do this for all the college football games I want to go to.

If someone is stupid enough to pay $2000 for an Eddie Vedder concert, let them.

That guy is going to be playing in the Taste of Oxnard band tent in a few years, anyway.

Anyone who is willing to pay 2000 bucks for an Eddie Vedder ticket deserves to get scammed.
