Where to stay in SF?

Hey-

I'm driving down to SF this Saturday, staying until Monday morning.

Any ideas on where I can stay? I'm trying to figure out a hotel that's not $300 a night and also not COMPLETELY skeevie.

Don't stay in the Tenderloin. You will leave with a nasty habit (and maybe a rash).

If you stay with Swampy, you'll probably end up at The End Up.

Yeah, I've stayed in a couple of those Joie de Vivre hotels, and they're always the tits.

They're also hella spendy. I was in that one in Mill Valley and it was great. And like $375 a night.
