well at least Paul is promoting PETA (who I'm not totally down with, but for the most part) and the Vegetarian Resource Group (non-profit group out of Baltimore who do good work) on the tour...with info tables and full page ads for each in the tour program... right?

oh yeah...
lots of good dead bands...current ones: I guess I'd have to say Fugazi. |

mine would be the gourds.....doesn't peta's seem a little silly sometimes? trying to ban all fishing or making sure the maggots in shawshank redemption were not hurt....

personally except for indigenous cultures, I agree all fishing should be banned...but that's just me. I think some of their tactics for promoting their ideas go a bit too far, or just turn off more people than they turn on.
The VRG is much more low-key and does a lot of good progressive work, kinda like the sensible, approachable version of the two. |

I'd see Nick Cave any night of the week.
I'm down with PETA and I'm all about the Vegetarian Resource Group. "Meat is murder!" |

yeah clearchannel.. im the antichrist. i know most of you hate em. that is unless you get hired and get paid out the ass to do shit.
heck, lets look at it this way. all music after sub indie is all packaged and processed. so yeah. i work in the system alot of you hate. im scum. but if i promoted joes bar band. and joes band got big. guess where they would be a playin. guess what type of record contract they would have. and im not going to spend 100 million dollars have an arena to shake the system up also, i dont always have a place in my heart for the starving musician/artist etc.. if they can further their works to more people and get paid. the ones that dont make it, make me sad. but thats just how it is (in my opinion). call greenday sellouts..but so are the strokes, and alot of people got rich off them |
