Default 2006 Polaris Music Prize - Poster Series

I just got back from the Polaris Music Prize gala (a Canadian version of Mercury Music Prize).
    http://www.polarismusicprize.ca/
There were 10 bands nominated for Best Canadian Album. 10 of us gigposters.com members were commissioned to design rock posters for each of the nominated bands (limited edition of 30).
I promised earlier to take pictures at the event, but my camera failed on me. Sorry All the posters looked really awesome. Great job guys.

    Scott Blake (sblake) - K'naan

Michael Deforge (deforgeo) - Final Fantasy (the 2006 Polaris Music Prize winner!)

Longplay (CCCP) - The New Pornographers

    Seripop - Wolf Parade

    Mine - Metric

the rest.... (sorry, i can't find yours...please post your designs here so we can all see )

    Doublenaut - Broken Social Scene
    Raymond Beisinger - Cadence Weapon
Todd Stewart (breeree) - The Deadly Snakes
    Safety47 - Sarah Harmer
    SERIGRAPHIE 514 - Malajube

Note to Shawny: thanks for setting us up with this gig. It's too bad you weren't at the gala. Steve Jordan said thank you tonight for helping out.

(sorry i posted in the wrong forum..it's supposed to be in "posters")

OK. Pardon the size, but the details are what makes this pup.

It's a portrait of Rollie built with Edmonton Transit maps coupled with pin-head pointers locating the 26 Edmonton references in Breaking Kayfabe--it's got everything from horse tracks to Oliver Square to Nik Kozub. The legend of what's what is in his eyes. So, you can come to Edmonton and "tour" the album if you have this poster. You might look like an idiot carrying it around, though, at 17.5x22.5".

If you look hard enough, you'll find an "X" marking my studio, as well as the studio that printed it (Smokescreen Printing).

    Fun?
