Relapse festival

Scorching weekend in philly. If this festival wasn't here this weekend I think I would have been out of my mind with the Birds losing. There was so much metal floating around it was beautiful. Every dirt ball in the world decended upon philly for this one.
highlights for me were ATP, Mastodon, Burnt by the Sun, and the mighty High On Fire. Got to hang with a bunch of them. had cocktails with Matt Pike but I think he was having drinks with everyone. Alot of philly bands were hanging and talking about trading shows and getting our shit together. Kinda wierd trying to have a festival at the troc but it definitely had the party atmosphere. This one have made Max.F. proud. Badass.

Oh lined up work for ATP and mastodon. Plus alot of stuff for bands that didn't play that night. Wish you were there.

That fest was made for me. Pretty much all of my favorite bands played. Just wish it was out in here in Cali. We tried a fest out here and it didn't go so well. Not as many metalheads here as you would think.

I'm in the process of throwing a little fest for some of the bands that have been trading shows in the area as of late. I have about 8 bands now and I'm working on getting Sixty Watt Shaman to play. They've shown interest. Depends alot on me. I might have artist booths along with different label and vendor booths too if i can get my shit together.
I'm working out venue logistics right now.

People say there is no scene, which I think is complete bullshit. I just think people are lazy. You kinda have to make it happen. Sounds like some sermon from the mount bull but it's kinda true.

Word of advice. never try to go shot for shot with Matt Pike after he gets off stage. You'll go back to your room, order room service, pass out in your boxers, and lay a huge alcohol fart while your girlfriend pays the guy. HEHHEEE.

I'm drinking beer in a frozen New Jersey listening to neurosis. Let's name this metal show i'm putting together. If someone says Hessfest I'm gonna kick them in the balls.
