The San Francisco Film Society and Rolling Roadshows are presenting a Bullitt screening and Road Rally event on August 30 at 8pm. Details and links to more info:
Location:
Washington Square Park
Filbert St & Stockton St
San Francisco, CA
Event Details:
Steve McQueen tears up the streets of San Francisco as Lt. Frank Bullitt in this seminal car chase classic. 36 years later, it’s the audience’s turn to investigate the city, solving clues in our BULLITT Road Rally. Their mission: to find the secret screening location.
Here's how the road rally works.
Teams will meet at a location (The Parking lot across from the Safeway at Marina and Laguna, a spot on the Bullitt Chase route!) in San Francisco at 3:30 PM, day of the show. Here, you will receive a CD and a set of clues. At the drop of the checkered flag, teams will run to their cars, Le Mans style, and open the first clue. The clues and the CD will guide you across the city, past many of the shooting locations of the film. You will gain points by successfully completing the tasks and arriving at checkpoints on time. There will be prizes awarded after the movie, as well as a slideshow of everyone's photos from the rally.
What you will need for the road rally:
A map of San Francisco
Yellow pages for San Francisco
A CD player
A digital camera
The rally should take you approximately 2 hours to complete. The screening will begin at 8:15 PM. Note: You can also just simply attend the screening if you don't want to participate in the road rally.
