Thumbs up Husker Du at the Fillmore 1980's

I don't remember Bob saying anything and they played a few songs that I never heard again.Grant Hart was a master of mixing his vocals to match the sonic blast of Bob Moulds guitar.I remember Mould struming it once and stomping on his distortion and it was a Wall Of Sound for the rest of the set.The bass player,Greg Norton was all over the left side of the stage.Jello Biafra was hanging out in the crowd and I remember giving him some money for his pornography charge,Frankenchrist Lp.It was one of the best show ,for me, 2nd and last time I saw em, and I always compare others to it.When the lastest flavor of the moment arrives I think can it at least match Husker Du.Pixies reunion fine, but I'd rather see Husker Du again

Bob and Grant did play together here in Minneapolis a few months ago at a benefit for Karl Mueller (of Soul Asylum...who has since passed away).

I doubt a reunion will ever happen.

    It'd be interesting though.

Grant deserves a lot more credit than most Husker Du fans give him; they're all 'Bob Bob Bob' all the time. Bob goes off at 45-1 odds in the great 'Bob vs. Grant' music nerd debate.

For example, I give you 'Candy Apple Gray,'
Bob's songs all suck terribly. Grant carries the album. Dead Set On Destruction is his shining moment. Still one of my favorite HD tunes.

I like Grant's songs almost better. his stuff is great. Bob has a better post Husker track record but they were equal on Husker records.
I wait to get aids as of Scrojo... Thanks!

We've run into Grant at a few shows here. He's a super friendly guy.
I'm a huge Husker Du fan so it's still a big thrill to talk to him.

7-8 years ago the band I was in at the time played at the Entry. I was all pumped because Grant was at the show. As soon as we started playing, Grant disappeared into the bathroom. For twenty minutes!

He shouldn't have had that last burrito.
