anyone seen any hot shows lately?

all in the space of one week i've seen usa is a monster / japanther / et sans . seeing a show with no duds + all bands you are friends with is probably the funnest shit ever.
i was just sad japather didn't play "divorce"

then daughters (twice) the show in montreal SOUNDED better but toronto was more entertaining with the singer pulling out his dick twice and gobbing on the ceiling and catching it on his chest then PLAYING with it. sick.

then the chinese stars with the creeping nobodies (amazing band from toronto-- http://thecreepingnobodies.com/ )

i came really close to getting in the van to see the chinese stars in toronto last night (again) with no dynamics (from toronto) cause i love no dynamics and they never come to montreal

i saw the decemberists last night.

they made everyone sit on the floor during one of the breakdowns. it was weird.

going to shows by myself in a town where i dont really know anyone is weird, too.

I saw the reformed Gang of Four last week, they were pretty good for a bunch of old guys -- I'm surprised there aren't any posters up for this tour.

I saw the Gris Gris the other night. They were good. Fantomas was good a couple weeks ago too.

Next week: Melt Banana on Tuesday and the Boredoms on Thursday. I can't wait.

I like going to shows alone. It's a blast.
