I said the same thing, J. I now own a horse. You try saying no to her when she is 10. I dare you.




I also just bought my son his first car this week. Cost about the same as the horse. He will applying for jobs at the mall all weekend.

Heres the deal...
I get get cutie-face suckered into buying a horse for Gabriella when she's 10...
and at the very LEAST, shes going to be packing posters or going down to the shop to help them coat screens, or SOMETHING.

Then when shes all tired and buzzed out from the fumes of working down at the shop, Ill ask her:
'Is the horse SO necessary NOW?'

My daughter works about 10 to 15 hours a week at the barn to help pay for the feed and board. Buying her that horse was the smartest thing we could have done. Taught her about responsability and working hard for the things you want in life.

My middle son works for me packing and shipping to offset his drum lessons and the gear he needs for that.


I got them all doing something. No free rides in life.
