Despite the fact that he didn't want me to sell my posters at the show,
he put on a really good show at The Abbey in Chicago Thursday night.
For those who may not Know,
Neil was the songwriter for Monty Python (Philosophers' Song, Brave Sir Robin), member of The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, and driving force behind the Rutles.
He had some good stories about the Python days, meeting the Beatles, etc.
I recommend seeing him if he comes to your town.
But, best of all, after the show I hung out drinking wine with him, his wife,
Archer Prewitt and Mark Greenberg (The Coctails), as well as Yo La Tengo who flew in for the show.
