I saw a book review today that you would love MaxFlo. All about the whole early 90's black metal scene in Europe and how all the extremists took to burning down churches and murder. It is a reprint and has extended interviews and shit in it. I will get the title of it for you tomorrow if you don't already know it.
Lords of Chaos. Good book, just don't believe the whole story they tell It is a little one sided. VERY enteraining read though. The history of extreme metal music is handled very well.Originally Posted by B-DROID
Yup..once I read the title I recoknized it. The review for it was in the new issue of Q (some british music mag) but anyway, the new edition has updated interviews and shit like that in it. Probably not interested since you already read it.
Oh, by any chance have you heard the new Killswitch Engage album? I have heard that it rips and it comes out three or four days after I am going to see them with In Flames. I really want it to rip and from what I have read it really is influenced by In Flames too...anything?
The new Killswitch is killer. I have only heard one song from the new In Flames. Not so good.

How's Phobia doing? Are Matt and Evan still in the band?
Matt is gone. Too bad. He was a funny mutherfucker. The new drummer is amazing though. Not as good as Matt, but good just the same. Never knew an Evan. I am mostly friends with Bruce and Steve. Bruce just moved out here to the valley so it will be cool to be able to hang out with him more often then once every 2 years.Originally Posted by 8ball
Yeah, not too impressed with the new In Flames...I listened to it a couple of times today at work. It seems that they really got lost with the whole thing. Not like them at all. I am really hoping that the store gets an advance of Killswitch so I can give it an ear hustle before I go and see them and start hyping it to the fans. What is this phobia band all about? Never heard them.
I could be thinking of Evan from Mindrot...Matt used to come in the record store I worked at in '93...he was pretty cool..they were just a local band, doing the rounds...fucker bought a TON of records...
