anybody in austin mention Oh, Beast! yet? (ex-zulu as kono). pretty kick ass nowave noise post balh blah balh along the lines of erase erratta.

of, course, the best band from austin EVER was BIG HORNY HUSTLER! blew the jesus lizrd and don caballero out of the fucking water, but that wasnearly 10 years ago, didn;t last too long...band mates should not become roomies...it will be the demise of you rproject, promise.

austin's most original band (and possibly all of the southwest in general) was butthole surfers...but, i'm talki'n when they were really still doing 'original' material...after hairway to steven, they should called it quits.

austin's best, most over-looked band: scratch acid. runner-up: brown whornet.


back in the day, austin had it going on...lately, ausitn's music scene has been overrun by pussy punk crap that couldn't make it in LA (or could it?) and all of these other unoriginal musicians that couldnt afford SF brooklyn or chicago. ebb and flow, though.
