Im blown away.
I got a copy of the cd: a friend of a friend snagged me a promo copy...and its amazing. The 2nd track is my favorite, so far. The artwork is so right on...its the style that much of my upcoming story will be in. Amazing.
I read that the guy who played 'Steve' on Blues Clues is going to star in the film. He and Coyne got to be pretty tight a couple years ago. That very cool, in a weird way. My little nephew will dig it when the film comes out...cause 'Steve' is on there.

I just a call Tuesday to do a poster for them. I gotta get the new album for reference. They got a big buzz right now.

I like the new album, but not as much as The Soft Bulletin just yet. We received a copy of it early on because we (Apparatus) designed a cover for the next issue of CMJ with the Flaming Lips being the focus. The cover ended up being influenced by the album art of Zarieeka...but pink.

I heard that there is actually a side project of the Flaming Lips, with songs that Steve from Blues clues wrote. I believe the name they are going under is The Dust Mites. I guess Steve plays some guitar, and he was a huge fan of the Lips, so they got together and recorded some stuff. Wonder if it will ever be released..........(sigh)
