Should you ever decide to ad a vacuum lid (recommended) then it would not work. I would very strongly encourage you to plan for the future and get the right tool for the right job. You may not always...

I think I've only had this problem once. I just put the film at a bit of an off-center tilt and that fixed. But that could also make it worse.

Stencil size shouldn't matter as long as it's in the light. Different mesh counts will require their own step tests.

I think I have a 1/2 border inside of mine and it's fine. I would assume the less open space you have the better.
