I can't afford screens, a press or ink. I do have crayons. Can I use crayons on a t-shirt?

If you are printing on black shirts your more than liekly going to have to print white first anyway.
ok! thanks!

print white under (you can skip the white on the white shirts unless you really want to make the halftones pop) then print the spot colors with the highlights knocked out.

i hope that was english-y enough...
okay thanks!

Thanks!

Why 2 whites? In this way is like printing just the white on top, right?

Thanks a lot to you all (also to Richie)

The first white basically seals the shirt, sort of like when you paint a wall and put primer over the older colour. That white will look dull and almost a light grey colour. If you want the white in the design to be bright, then you can print white/flash/print white/flash then your other colours, or you can add a second white for the parts that are only bright white. White/Flash/ Top colour/ flash/ highlight white . . the highlight white will make a better print over all, but require extra screens. Double printing the underbase white will make a thicker print.

This thread is still hilarious to me. And the microwave flash cure idea thread too.
