Epson 3000 printing transparency issues

Hey all.

Working on a mac with an Epson 3000, and Im trying to print a transparency on vellum from illustrator cs4, and the printer is loading the paper, prints out text gibberish, then spits it out. The unit is powered on, and has ink, but the "paper out" light is on, and the pause button is lit up as well.

The printer has made transparencies before, I think there is something small Im doing wrong. I also have accurip, but Im not sure how it comes into play, or why I need it. I only need one transparency.

I hope this is a simple fix, I dont that this is a huge issue. Any help will be appreicated.

Finally worked it out, using the accurip software through illustrator did it, also feeding the paper through the back helps.

you need to turn it off and restart your computer first. it seems to be in test/etc mode.

don't just restart though. shut down, then turn your printer on before your computer, then start the computer. some issues like this are resolved when
the printer is ON when you start your computer machine.

-clear your printer queue if accurip uses one.
-if the pause button is on, hit it.
-check your manual for the test sequence info.
-hopefully you have not just upgraded to Leopard or something.

I use mine directly from PS CS3 without a rip with Tiger and have no
issues at all, but we have in the past with other machines/other 3000s.
