You probably are right that they are totally dry. Heat is not what you should be going for in my opinion for drying these screens. Your problem does not appear to be effecting your image developing properly though.

The next culprit might be your coating style or the brand of emulsion.

To to clarify ink is coming off of the positive film?

-Is your film frosted or clear? (Is ink coming off the film onto the screen?)
-What lights are you using for exposure (metal halid or flourescent tubes)
-How long is your burn time.
-When you wash out the image, do you get alot of foam on the screen? Does it feel slimy?

Experiment: Try doubling your exposure time, then see what happens. Does the square where the film was still show the film outline? or not? Do you lose alot of detail?

I switched from Kimoto Clear SC4 Dye film, to Ulano Pigment film, the Ulano is frosted and when I use the same exposure time as the Kimoto Clear film, I get an area that is slightly less exposed then the rest of the screen, in exactly the space that the frosted film was. When I increased the exposure time to allow the light to burn through the frosted film, I don't get this under-exposed area on my screens.

I really don't think it's the film or the printer as I'm using the same stuff with no issues to date.

No, it stays on the LexJet film! It sticks a bit to the screen but it holds strong!

a. UV neon tubes.
b. I've tried 180 320 and 360 seconds and the result is, at least apparently, the same..
c. Mhmh..I can't remember but the unexposed emulsion once wet i wait 2-4 minutes and it comes off easily with a medium water spray.

Yes thanks I'll try when I've a bit of time!

I use the same setup of squeegee and he doesn't have any problem. We use LexJet Instant Dry Clear Polyester and that film is a bit "milky" but more clear than the others films around.

Thanks you all!
Fabio
