APs are (A)rtist (P)roofs. These are numbered along the lines of AP 1/7, AP 2/7 etc. APs are for the artist specifically and are theirs to do with as they wish. It is a way of insuring that the artist gets some regardless of the publisher's desires or market consumption.

PPs are (P)rinter's (P)roofs. These are numbered PP 1/3, PP 2/3, or whatever number. These are a gratuity for the printers. These are given by the artist or publisher with the understanding that the printer won't sell them or distribute them for X amount of time (usually until the edition is sold out) and undercut the artist/ publisher.

aren't you afraid the registration doesn't match with the stretching of the paper, considering all those colours?

    Thanks,

All air dry water based (racks) maybe some UV at the end. Registration on large sheets is hard, but with this many colors the paper stabilizes after the first 10 or so and will stay pretty consistent after that.
