I wanna see this print.

I've told Steve at D&L that at some point I wanna make a print that has the most blends ever done...I dunno what that number would be. Still waiting for the right print to do it on.

60? Damn! I hung out at a print shop in Havana where they were about 16 colors in on a reproduction of an oil painting and that was just most of the shades of the brown in the piece. How thick is the paper?

The paper is Coventry Rag 335 gsm.
We've got about 10 colors down now. The whole thing is spot colors, no halftones/ bitmap gradients allowed.
Since the image and paper are large and we're printing with WB inks I like to print primer colors to stabilize the paper. Once I have a general light blue, light red, light yellow, light grey or light whatever down on all the paper we start going for specific matches.

someone gave me a small piece of a misprint from Landfall Press that was over 100 colors.
it felt like an oil painting
