Same process used to make hydrogen fuel cells.

99% of solar cells are made using screenprinting.

All sorts of nano tech products coming down the pike in a few years. All screenprinted.

But alas, who will run the presses and work with the scientists and engineers?

hmmmm too bad the Art department where 'silk screening' is taught can't work with the science department where they are 'painting' on the materials for cells.

It goes really fucking fast when you 'print' them.

    The coating is more uniform.

But the disconnect in screenprint education and technological print research continues.

    Too bad.

Once it becomes (economically) possible to screenprint solar cells in your garage, basement, etc, you guys won't have time to make posters. Imagine what kind of an impact you could make by printing your own solar cells. As soon as a cheap enough flexible transparent conductor for the front electrode becomes available, you could just about 'print' on anything. You could compensate for a lower efficiency rating by turning whatever surface you want into a solar cell. Roof shingles, house siding, etc -- the more the better. I bet that would piss off more than one electric company...

If anyone is better situated to take advantage of this...it's you guys, not necessarily the techies.
