    Default 500 watt halogen & ulano 925wr

anyone tried to expose a screen coated 1x print side+2x squeegee side with ulano 925 wr? I suppose a distance of a little less then a foot would do it but how long. or should i stick with the ever increasing Oregon sun?

You should probably coat twice on the print side and once on the squeegee side like a normal person.

Default gee, oh my god am i ever so sorry

so i accidentally switched that when i wrote it. By the way I have done T shirts since 1988 in my folks basement and worked at "pro" shops for over ten years. i was looking for some advice oh, wait i forgot- thats what you get when you misstep and open yourself up to everyone's attitude. And screen printers no less- never met a sane, sober or well adjusted one, including me. I guess I shouldn't have written that before the 12 xanax I ate last night wore off.
I have the coated screen hanging by chains from the ceiling so it hangs vertically. Will this help?

I think we use TZ and 2 500 watt halo's at about 36 inches, 10 minute exposure.

Tee hee. So you joined in 2002 and this is really only your 3rd post? Seems you missed the 30 or so other threads devoted to this topic in your absence.
I'd search the forum threads first and then secondly i'd experiment with your exposure times and distance. The sun always works in a pinch.

This is exactly the coating process and emulsion I'm using now.

But exposure is with 2x500 watt halogens from about 40", exposing for about 15 minutes.

It sounds to me like your light is too close to your screens.

With one 500 watt halogen I would put the light at about 16"-24".

I'm inclined to try out QX1, just because of the shelf life. I had tried QTX with terrible luck, but the QX1 water resistance is supposed to be better.

    Genepool, don't appologize.

Squee3 is an arshole! From Brooklyn! He is always picking on people and trying to get them to do things his way. Always with the sarcastic twist. Making like he knows what's happening - I bet he doesn't even own a squeegee, let alone 3 of them. It's guys like him and that smartass winkey thing that ruin this site. People come in asking dumb questions that have been rehashed and explained too often, many time demonstrating they kind of know but don't get all of it, and instead of just answering the question that you already have decided the answer, they try to offer 'basic' concepts.

He should have realized you had a lot of experience. I suppose next he'll make some crack about what light type? or how big is your artwork/screen before you determine a distance? like that might have anything to do with it!

That's it! I've had enough of your nonsense. Your always trying to be helpful and shit. Except when the answer is 80 grit. I know what you're up to. Don't think I don't know. Oh I know. For sure.

Oh and I hope you're doing well. How's the weather? Hope it's nice with lots of Sun.
